Intentional Self-Care

I understand how hard it is to be cooped up and the temptation is to vegetate .⁠🏡⁣⁠⁣
Today, I’m sharing my self-care suggestions to keep you balanced when the world feels off kilter. 🌎 ⁠⁣
⁠⁣The reality is dawning that this is a MARATHON and not a SPRINT. Maybe, we can reframe this time and see it as a chance to take exceptional care of ourselves. ⁠🏃🏽‍♀️⁣

These are the areas I cover when I know I need extra care emotionally, spiritually and physically:👇🏼⁣
⁠⁣
1. Soul nourishment…think art, nature, beauty, music, your own creative expressions.⁠🎼🏕️⁣
⁠⁣
2. Solitude…think contemplative prayer/meditation, inner work, and journaling.⁠🙏🏼⁣
⁠⁣
3. Regular Meals…think whole foods.⁠🍎⁣
⁠⁣
4. Exercise…think walks, yoga, gardening.⁠🧘🏻‍♂️⁣
⁠⁣
5. Intimacy…think family time, cuddle time if you have a partner you’re quarantined with or snuggle with a pet.⁠🐶❤️⁣
⁠⁣
6. Plenty of sleep…think hot epsom salt bath before bedtime.⁠🛀🏼🛌🏼⁣
⁠⁣
7. Entertainment…think games, puzzles, cards, reading and also TV and social media. ⁠🎲🎯⁣
⁠⁣
Creating these daily rituals will help us finish this marathon strong! May you be well, my friend!⁠💪🏼⁣
